Since the inception of Doubles Tournaments in 2022, the concept has grown in popularity from 8 teams back then to 16 teams and a full field in 2024.
The Doubles champions have been Gold Coast Backgammon Club members in 2022 & 2023 and we are delighted to announce that Beauty (Trudi Hemetsberger) & The Beast (Steve Roberts) have continued the tradition by winning the 2024 Backgammon Championships title – all results here.
It was never going to be an easy match…
Obviously, any final is going to be tough and this match certainly was, though Beauty & The Beast led almost all the way.
And slowly pulled away…
The Beast Eaters tried to live up to their name, but Gold Coast Backgammon Club members Beauty & The Beast held out to keep the title on the Gold Coast for the third year in a row.
