• $100 single elimination + optional $50 side pool
• Field size: 64, 96 or 128 subject to entries

All players in Open pay a $10 one off registration fee

VENUE INFORMATION

The Mermaid Waters Hotel at the Lone Star Tavern is located in the heart of Mermaid Waters at 97 Markeri Street
Phone 0755722500.  It is just minutes away from the surfing beaches and shopping precinct of Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. The hotel has created an enviable reputation as a versatile event venue with stylish and spacious rooms which we are excited to be using for this 3 day event.

ACCOMMODATION

We have secured a limited number of refurbished rooms at the venue at discounted rates:

• King studio 1 x king bed (can be split in two) $189/night

• Queen studio 2 x queen beds $254.50/night

To get the discounted rate please book your own accommodation as soon as possible. Call the Mermaid Waters Hotel on 0755722500 and mention that you are attending the backgammon tournament.

By staying at the venue, you will also receive a 10% discount off food in the restaurant.

For convenience, there are restaurants and takeaways located right by the hotel and it is only a short taxi or Uber ride into Broadbeach which is usually less than $10.

ONSITE PARKING

There is ample all day free parking onsite.

OTHER INFORMATION

• Entry fees are to be paid at time of registration (cash only). No EFTPOS available.

• Please bring your own board, clock, scoreboard if possible

• Precision dice should be used for all matches

• All matches (except Doubles, Round Robins and Masters Satellites) will be entered into the ANZBGF ratings system

• All matches will be played under the ANZBGF rules and all players are expected to abide by the ANZBGF code of ethics

• Please always check with the registration desk before leaving the venue for any period of time

• Penalty points may apply to players arriving late for a scheduled match

• Unfortunately the event venue is not wheelchair accessible
